I’m a first-generation Asian liberation coach in San Francisco with a deep affinity for serving Asians, Asian diaspora, BIPOC, polyamorous, and LGBTQ+ folx, and for intercultural and inter-racial relationships navigating power differentials and cultural differences.
My approach to liberation coaching is shaped by migrations across continents, classes, and disciplines. Before entering the
mental health field, I worked for many years in
academic STEM environments across Canada, the United States, and Denmark. Originally from British Hong Kong, I have a multicultural lens and awareness of how colonial histories, ancestry, race, class, and gender shape your identities, lived experiences, and relationship dynamics.
Liberation coaching is a non-clinical partnership that is future-oriented and focused on clarifying your desire and centering your autonomy. Rather than locating problems within individual trauma or in clinical diagnoses, I draw from liberation frameworks from the Global South that situate problems within colonial histories, structures of power, and systems of oppression. Liberation coaching thus facilitates both individual and collective transformation.
